High-temperature polymers (PEEK) spraying by HVOF

Hello,
I had read the article, where was about successfully spaying of PEEK (polyetheretherketone, polymer of Victrex production) by HVOF (K2 Gun). At the last week I tried to do the same, was using parameters with low velocity and temperature of stream, but coating was horrible burned. The spray parameters that I used was: oxygen 17 L/h, kerosene 600 L/min, powder supply 15g/min.
I think the problem of polymer overheating is in too long time interaction of polymer powder with high temperature of stream.
Has somebody tried to spray high-temperature polymers by using HVOF guns (K2/Diamond Jet/Other)? May be you know some «cheats» or appropriate parameters?
P.S. I have some idea that consists in changing of injection method: radial supply of powder from the side of top of nozzle (like it doing in plasma).
