YSZ thermal Spraying by HVOF and Flame

We planning to spray fine-grain YSZ powder (Metco 6700) using Hipo Jet 2700 and 6P-II torches. Do You have any expirience and/or parameters for this processes?

We planning to spray fine-grain YSZ powder (Metco 6700) using Hipo Jet 2700 and 6P-II torches. Do You have any expirience and/or parameters for this processes?

For YSZ you need the plasma spraying. It will work with 6P-II as well, but with a very low DE (large powder losses make flame spraying of YSZ not economical). With HVOF (Hipo Jet 2700) you can not create a YSZ layer at all.
Buy a used plasma system, which is not much more expensive than flame spraying.

We have plasma system. We planning to make scientific research for possibility of deposition using other thermal spray processe. We planning to use fine-grain powders like metco 67000 or smaller grains. Do You have parameters for 6P-II?
