DJ 2700 System Water cooled

Dear All,

I have procured a second hand DJ 2700 system with fuel configuaration of Propylene & air cooled. To get better characteristics I would like to convert it to water cooled system. Now I have 02 major queries: -

1. What are the chances of success of this upgradation?

2. I have been told by my local service provider here that I would need hybrid front head assembly for gun & water jam box & water chiller for this. I do not have any instruction manual for this system so do not know what capacity & specification of water chiller I would need for this? can you share instruction manual of this water chiller or spec sheet for better sourcing? I expect here on this forum I can get my all queries returned satisfactory replied by experts.

You are going to need to do the update as in the picture, doing this, you are going to have more productivity, and coatings will be no so stressed, because with the standard DJ you can have some coating cracks, the problem with this kind of system could be the powder feeder, that need to much maintenance, and it is very expensive to repair, nobody answer before, because SM, now OM, fired quite all good technicians, for OEM economic problems, for the spares, you can contact so many alternatives more economic and with highest quality.
Water Requirements:
Pressure (min.) 2.76 bar-40 psi
Flow (min.) 9.5 l/min. / 2.5 US gall./min
Inlet temperature (max.) 24 °C / 75°F
Quality! < 30μS potable (drinking water)
So you can use, comon water if you have enough fresh water sorce, and if you need some other advice, do not esitate to contact me.

Luigi's information is correct, that is the flow and water quality you need.

A few notes:

a) Depending on the ambient high temperature, the capacity should be in the range of 15-25Kw for the chiller
b) The components recommended by Metco seem to be correct, the water jam box is important, as it shuts down the gases, if there is no water pressure
c) Indeed the production increases with water cooling.
