Flexicord vs Powder for flame spray
Anyone has experienced both methods of flame spraying? Any benefits of one over the other. Flexicord wires seem to be practical in theory but not sure in practice. Is there a difference in efficiency, running costs, coating quality etc.

Thanks

RE: Flexicord vs Powder for flame spray
in our experience, flexicord wires are often will have formulas that have very specific properites, like the Spinel minerals. Also usually the same equipment can be used for ceramic rod spraying.

If you do not have these specifications, then probably no reason to choose the flexicord, the product is more expensive compared to powder.

Also, you might consider HVOF or HVAF depending on your application
