Copper protection against high temperature corrosion
I would like to use copper as heat exchanger at temperatures up to 450°C, but I noticed severe temperature corrosion. Next I tried the copper plated with nickel, but the nickel seems to come loose near sharp edges and the surface is heat stained.
Is there a better treatment, or should I replace the copper by another metal (alloy) with high thermal conductivity ? Many thanks for your reply, Herman |
