: Dear Gordon,

: Can you tell me what the optimum CFM air flow rate for arc spraying with 1-1/6" Tafa 60T wire should be. I have only managed to find one article that even mentions optimum air flow rates for arc spraying. I currently have a 245 CFM screw compressor, which has died on me and I need to replace it, hopefully with something smaller.

Hi Derek

I don't have any specific Tafa data at hand, but arc spray units typically require around 40 - 50 CFM @ 80 psi

Hope this helps

Regards Gordon
