: Hi,Gordon
: We have a subject that asking for plasma coating 0.1 to 0.2 mm pure Cr2O3 on Nikel plating layer(thickness 40 to 50 um)of the substrate of AlSiCu - a kind of Aluminium cast alloy.
: The function is for yarn pass through, cross-section hardness should goes up to HV1400150.
: My question is that if we should follow normal processing: cleaning, grit blasting, Ni/Al spraying, Ceramic spraying; if not, what is your proposal? Is there any critical point we should pay attention?
: Thanks a lot.

Hi
You will need to check the effect of grit blasting on the nickel coating, the nickel coating may be destroyed. Careful selection of chromium oxide powder and spraying parameters will be needed to acheive your desired coating texture and hardness.
