: Yes, this is mainly used to "superfinish" these type of coatings after grinding. This method though is only good for providing high finish as opposed to accuracy of dimension.

Superfinishing can be done with diamond grinding wheels.Wheel specification required for the job can be obtained from the wheel manufacturer.Diamond paste is used for fine morror finishing to around 0.45 micron.
