Characterisation and Performance of Thick Coatings.

10th and 11th November 2004
National Physical Laboratory

Organised by NPL Materials Centre with support from the DTI and the Institute of Physics Thin Films and Surfaces Group.

A joint meeting of the UK Coatings Forum and the UK Forum on Friction and Wear Testing is being held to examine the theme of Characterisation and Performance of Thick Coatings, and is aimed at industrial users and suppliers of coatings.

This meeting will be held at the National Physical Laboratory, Teddington, Middlesex, on the 10th and 11th of November 2004.

The UK Coatings Forum, 10th November, will discuss drivers for coatings characterisation and the generic measurement techniques for mechanical properties, adhesion and corrosion of thick coatings, as well as the latest news on international standardisation for coatings measurements.

The UK Forum on Friction and Wear Testing, 11th November, will discuss the tribological performance of thick coatings.

These meetings will also provide an opportunity to network with like-minded organisations.
