I would strongly recommend you contact Refmet Ceramics Ltd in Sheffield, England, Telephone 0114 2577277.
They have already solved many similar issues within Diesel Injection Units and can offer coatings with exceptionally low friction properties. Some of their coatings are only half of one micron in thickness and ideally suited to the precise and close tolerances seen in diesel systems. Furthermore they are able to deposit at process temperatures of only 50 degrees C.
