: : : Dear sir:
: : : Can we use Metco 45C-NS instead of trade brand X-40 Cobalt , nickel ,chromium, tungesten alloy powder in the same applicaton. apretiate ur help

: :
: : Sherif

: : Metco 45C-NS is similar to Stellite X40 and should be suitable for use in the same application (possibly better if your using Metco plasma spray equipment to spray it)

: : Regards Gordon

: Dear Sir :
: Do u mean Stellite 31 which is similar to X40 or u mean Stellite X40.
: with my best regards for ur assistance

Dear Sherif

Stellite 31(H)is closer to Metco 45C-NS than Stellite X40 or Amdry X40. All have more all or less the same chemistry, but differ in particle size/distribution. The final choice depends on the specific coating function, economics and any powder/coating/process standards or specifications imposed. It will be important to evaluate any proposed changes before committing to production.

Regards Gordon
