Hi

Mild steel coatings are usually used for reclamation of worn or mis-machined parts, simple bearing surfaces and press fits etc.. particularly where a harder coating is not required and when the coating needs to be easily machine and not ground. These coatings can give superior wear resistance over mild steel and the generally high porosity (wire spray) helps with lubricant retention.
