fused coating
Hello,
We sprayed 3 meters length plunger with JK7660. And before fusing at the begining of plunger we did preheating (we reach temp.150C) what gives in the coating surface cracks (it looks as ground after a long time without water) Other part of this plunger we fused without preheating and quality of coating is ok.. Thickness of coating 0.7mm

Question is it possible to join already fused JK7660 coating with newly sprayed JK7660 and after fusing to avoid cracks.
Thank You
Arturas

RE: fused coating
Hi Arturas

I have my doubts to it being problem free. But I suppose the component would have to be completely reworked anyway, so I think no harm in trying and learning from experience.
