Hi
I cant find Ni or CuAl alloys for bond and build up in stock of my suppliers but i ve urgent jobs so i m looking for alternatives. Under 88 12 WCCo Hvof coating, about 1.5mm build up needed. Can i use 420SS without extra bond and then can i spray on it directly?

In the past we've used 420SS (Metcoloy 2) to buildup. Ground to required diameter for hvof thickness and spray WC/Co 88/12.
No additional bond coat on 420SS.
