Problem solved Grinding solution for Hastalloy HVOF coating

Anybody has related experiences that grind Hastalloy HVOF coating could be share, we met a problem that polished or grinding process can not got good results which made coating smooth and low roughness to Ra.0.1, thanks a lot!

Do you have any good results grinding nickel-base alloys round bars with belt grinding? Do you know if there is any commercially available belt grinder that can grind round bars? We would like to grind a lot of 1 inch bars made of superalloy. Actually we are turning it on outside diameter but it not easy process. We plan to test centerless grinding machine but we know that grinding nickel-base alloys is a hard case.
