Hi SEF members,

We want to coat Metco 76F-NS WC Co with 6P-II system acetylene fuel gas.

Can you give us the spray parameters WC Co powders for 6P-II system?

I would suggest you get Sulzer Metco to send you a technical bulletin or data sheet on Metco 76F-NS. In the mean time:

Spray Parameters for Metco 76F-NS 6P-II set #2
Nozzle P7B-D
Siphon Plug 6P 805
Air Cap 6P-3 pinch air N₂ @ 5 psi
Air Jet Unit 50psi jets crossed @ 2.5"
Oxygen 35 psi flow 35 2GF
Acetylene 15 psi flow 45 2GF
Powder Feed carrier gas flow 37 @ 55psi (3MP/4MP) 9-10 lb/hr
Spray Distance 3"

Coverage 110 ft²/hr/0.001"
Powder Required 0.086 lb/ft²/0.001"

Sorry old units, but I will leave you to convert if necessary. Note flows are for 2GF so if using 3GF (conversion tables in back of 3GF manual) or other you will need to convert
