Engineering student looking for advice
So in my class we have a group project where we are building soap box type cars and racing them down a hill at the end of the quarter. The catch is the only items we can use are cardboard, paint, glue and duct tape with the stipulation that the duct tape cannot be layered to make a structural part. I think our biggest issue is going to be friction in the drive train. I'm thinking the best option will be to get cardboard tubes and use them as axles but I need to find a low friction paint to coat the axles with to conform to the rules. Does anybody know of a good low friction paint that would work well on cardboard that also happens to be cheap?

Your project really seems to be interesting.I didn't have much knowledge about it so can't name it but there are many paints in market which provide a durable, abrasion resistant, slippery surface with outstanding low surface energy.
