RE: Grit Blasting noise reduction
tHEzARD,
Modification to the sliding up door could be one of the solutions. There are some blasting machine with the design of a normal side openning door type. The sealing is better and once it is closed and locked tight, the sound level is relatively low. I have experience working with different typesa of balsting machine, small, big, chamber type..etc. generally, I find the latter one is better, though I did not physically measure the noise level.
Secondly, if you can see at the bottom of the blasting chamber, where the air host or brit host, depending you are using a pressure type blasting machine or pressure type; if the holes gap are large, this is also where the noise leakages. If you could do something to seal up these holes and not affecting air hose movement, it will cetainly help in noise reduction.
Also, the motor that drives the seperator, at time is the most noisiet part of the machine. Check that up if proper maintenace should be performed to the motor, and the suction system.
Some personal opinion hope it helps.
Thanks.
regards,
alexander
