COATING THICKNESS GAUGE
Dear All,

We would like to know if the Conventional Elcometer 101 CAN BE USED FOR MEASURING OF COATING THICKNESS OF 95MXC (AS COATED CONSITION).
If not what other tool/device that can be used for measuring the coating thickness.

Dear Mr. Stephen,

The substrate is Steel(Magnetic). Coating thickness is 95MXC 0.4mm & Bondarc75B 0.1mm. The Coating is being carried out on Boiler tubes (pipe section) so the surface is curved.

Hi Ehasan

I think this one will be a problem. I can only suggest that you try to calibrate the instrument to actual known substrate/coating samples. Having two different coatings in the system will also complicate the issue.
