Looking suggestion for S2B "Z" notch coating & dove tail ARC spray aluminium coating
Posted by: demionkrishan - 06-14-2021, 02:09 PM - Forum: Surface Engineering Threads - No Replies

Dear thermal spray family,
Is anyone here, doing Gas turbine stage 2 bucket plasma "Z" notch and dovetail Arc spray aluminium coating?
I am totally new to this subject and I feel personally, it is time consuming process to mask the whole area with plasma tape to coat a very small area. The time for masking per piece is on an average 15 minutes, is there any way to reduce time or any other methods? Appreciate your valuable feedback 🙏

  Buy a plasma system
Posted by: kaizmoto1489 - 06-07-2021, 04:34 AM - Forum: Surface Engineering Threads - No Replies

Hello everyone,

I am going to buy one plasma system but not decide the model and brand yet.
I have considered 3 options:

1. 100HE from Progressive
2. Sinplex from Metco
3. KK gun from AMT

Base on my experience, 9MB is more stable than 100HE,but at that time the 100HE system is assembled with TAFA system and 100HE torch.
I am not sure if the original setup can help the plasma system more stable?

High Carbon Steel - Ammonia corrosion
Posted by: thorgrim - 05-23-2021, 01:10 AM - Forum: Surface Engineering Threads - Replies (1)

Greetings everyone, recently we have been repairing the Journal bearings of a twin screw Ammonia compressor .  The repair was done spraying the journals with an arc spray NiCr bond coat layer and as a rebuilding material we used a Sprasteel 80 Metco Wire (0.8% Carbon Steel, commercially known as High Carbon Steel) with a  high velocity wire flame spray gun.  The ground finished dimensions were perfectly in OEM tolerances and all the compressor working parameters were OK as oil Viscosity, working discharge pressure and temperatures,Screws RPM and everything else, but after some 8 hours of operation the bearings temperature begun to rise and the compressor was stopped and dismounted.  The Journals and the Babbitt bearings were completely worn out. As we have repaired a lot of Journal bearings in turbines, electrical motors, crankshafts and a lot of other rotary mechanical equipments, all working in lubricated hydrodynamics Journals and we never have found any kind of problems with the job, we guess if in this twin screw compressor, working with Ammonia gas the High Carbon Steel sprayed coating could have suffered a chemical attach corrosion trouble and the repaired journals are being damaged for this reason.  Could some one please help with this issue_?  Thanks

Best rated Hunting Boots Reviewed for warmth and safe

1. Best Mountain Hunting

Mountaineering has to do with as literally demanding a task obtains before ending up being a severe sport. Including the rigors of searching, nonetheless, goes across that threshold. Leading professional athletes train in the slim, hill air of Colorado Springs to prepare their bodies for severe problems.

Hill hiking is a naturally sports quest, which is why it makes good sense that a specialized sports garments maker can appropriately equip hunters for this environment.

Check Here: https://deerhuntingfield.com/best-coyote-baits/

Under Armour is very new to the athletic clothing scene, having only been around given that 1996. Considering that exploding right into the sports apparel scene, Under Armour has actually refused to reduce or yield to monster rivals.

They have actually been fearless in broadening to locations where their competitors have no tread, including into searching equipment. They have actually tackled stalwart hunting makers as well as are making headway, especially with young seekers who acknowledge the brand and already very own various other Under Armour products.

Under Armour HOVR Dawn WP

Under Armour's HOVR Dawn WP hunting boot is a genuine challenger for mountain searching. When you are up in the hills, wheezing in that thin mountain air, every ounce of gear antagonizes you. Your equipment requires to be light-weight, and also these are practically insubstantial at less than 35 oz. for both!

Just as essential as the weight is form. The HOVR Dawn takes the HOVR supporting from their running shoes as well as integrates it right into these hunting footwear. The seams are welded for full water repulsion, yet the high abrasion textile upper is really versatile, breathable, as well as shoelaces as much as completely comply with your feet and also ankle joints.

While the origins of the insoles are athletic shoes, the rubber outsoles have a molded rubber toe cap to secure from abrasion.

Pros

Built utilizing proven innovation from running shoes, these boots are made to adapt snugly to your feet, preventing blisters and also weary feet.

Very light and made for individuals who are going to place a lot of long, arduous miles on them.

While numerous light-weight hunting boots make use of a foam outsole with key call factors being rubberized, which do not seem to stand up well, these outsoles are complete rubber with husky lugs.

Cons

The whole Under Armour hunting line is still rather new, so there are few purchaser testimonials contrasted to Danner or Irish Setters, which consistently have hundreds and even countless evaluations.

It is tough to obtain a great picture of how well these will stand up.

No inner shank implies somewhat much less assistance than heavier extra rugged boots.

The Under Armour HOVR Dawn WP has all the makings of an outstanding hill boot. It is very light, water-proof, as well as developed to adapt the user's foot, This boots also is one of Best Elk Hunting Boots -Reviews to Keep You Moving!  .

There are couple of things worse than being miles into a hill walk as well as experiencing wet feet, feet sliding inside uncomfortable boots, or a mix of both.

This is not just a devoted hill hunting boot; it is really sufficient for the passionate general outdoorsman who takes pleasure in a hike in the hills as high as a search in the mountains.

However, it is a non-insulated early period boot. There is additionally a mid-season version with 400 grams of insulation. However if late season hill hunting gets on your program, you will certainly require to acquire a protected boot.

2. Finest Waterproof Boots-- Muck Boot Arctic Sport

With virtually 1,000 Amazon.com reviews, the Filth Boot Arctic Sporting activity is easily the best water resistant boot.

While many reviewers buy the tall Arctic Sporting activity, the mid Arctic Sport is identical in every means besides the shaft elevation, so it's consisted of in this review; the integral parts are all the same. Here are the most essential specs for the Arctic Sport:

100% waterproof

Fleece-lined for heat, plus 2 mm thermal foam under the foot bed

Outsole is built more like an army boot than a chore boot, supplying support, rigidness, as well as exceptional grip

Pros

Proven ruggedness, convenience, as well as longevity.

Can transition effortlessly from your late-season goose search to cleaning stalls in the barn.

Cons

It is difficult to locate any kind of. The only point that may be a con is that they will certainly roast your feet if you use them outside of cold weather.

Filth Boots are not pretty in the classical feeling, yet charm remains in the eye of the beholder. When it is 5 degrees outside and the exuding mud is lapping at my ankle joints, Muck Boots are lovely.

Filth Boot's Arctic Sports are for any individual that values completely dry, cozy feet in the worst conditions. If you are protruded in the components, or select to be in them as an athlete, these ought to be your go-to.

Actually, the only area they may not be excellent in is long treks across rough nation where you need a boot that laces firmly in place. Apart from that, they are perfect for anything chilly and also wet.

3. Best Light-weight Hunting Boots-- Under Armour's Valsetz RTS

I ought to start this testimonial by mentioning that these will be the very best non-insulated, non-waterproofed light-weight boots. These will be your very early season boots, great for springtime turkey or early deer periods (muzzleloader, archery, and so on).

What we are checking out right here are ultralight, unlined boots. They are going to allow you move quickly and also really feel as if they are hardly there.

Under Armour's Valsetz RTS 1.5 weighs in at a little 20 oz. per pair. That's right. Just over a pound. These are almost like putting on route runners on a search, other than they aren't simply brown cross-trainers.

The Valsetz is a real-life, bona fide, military obligation boot developed to take care of the roughness of the area. Under Armour has utilized a lot of their athletic shoe procedures and products in the Valsetz to make it not just feel like and also athletic shoe, yet execute like one in the field.

The Valsetz uses memory foam in the sock liner for maximum convenience, UA ClutchFit ™ to safely wrap your ankle joints for assistance, and also a TPU shank for rigidity.

Pros

Exceptionally light-weight at 20 oz.

Made to reproduce the feel as well as activity of a high quality athletic shoe

Great and breathable for very early period pursues

Cons

A great deal of the reviews claim they have reduced resilience.

The cost to pay for lightweight is using a lot of foam and mesh, which just can not hold up to brushes and also brambles like genuine natural leather.

Not a versatile boot; great for warm, dry weather.

Not water resistant.

The Valsetz RTS is mainly a lightweight, summertime task boot for cops and also soldiers. Nevertheless, those tasks share a lot of attributes with hunting, like demanding atmospheres and lots of mileage off of the beaten path.

This is an actually good, light boot for cozy hunting seasons, like spring turkey searching (if it isn't a wet springtime) or bow hunting in September. Thicker hunting boots will certainly just roast your feet in September on the Great Plains where the Indian summer temperature levels consistently hit the high 70s and also 80s.

They are not going to be durable like a set of Danner Pronghorns, however they aren't made to be. The tradeoff has to do with 2 extra pounds per set, which is a very desirable quality in a warm climate boot.

Just like all items of gear, purchase according to your demands. All-purpose, all-season footwear often tends to be all right for many seasons but fantastic for none. These are warm, completely dry weather condition boots that will maintain your feet really feeling fresh.

Green flame in HVOF hydrogen - oxygen combustion
Posted by: JeroenB - 04-29-2021, 03:19 PM - Forum: Surface Engineering Threads - Replies (3)

Dear,

We have a HVOF installation fueled by hydrogen and oxygen. Normally our flame is almost invisible but sometimes it turns green. We have narrowed down the origin from the hydrogen gas, when changing a hydrogen pack the flame can suddenly turn green. In the past we always rejected these shipments of hydrogen but it has become more frequent since we switched from hydrogen supplier. Our accuraspray camera measures no change in particle speed or temperature with a green or invisible flame.

My current suspects are:
1. Impurities in the hydrogen weaken the copper somehow and it is burned, turning the flame green
2. Impurities in the hydrogen gas itself turn green when burned

Do others have similar issues? Do you have other ideas what it might be? I'm not sure if I should be worried about the green color.

Best regards,
Jeroen

The Shark Apex Uplight Lift-Away Duoclean - The special Features

Introduction

We are sure that these shark apex uplight lift-away duoclean vacuums will satisfy most of your requirements if you are looking for a cheap, lightweight stick vacuum with excellent performance.

For a long time, Shark's reputation and sales numbers were dominated by its famous upright vacuums, such as the Shark Navigator and Rotator.

Let's look at why these lightweight stick vacuums have become one of the most common and high-rated stick vacuums on the market today.

Special Features

This UpLight vacuum cleaner combines the best of both worlds, providing the powerful suction of upright vacuums with the flexibility of a stick machine. The following are the primary characteristics that distinguish this new model as an excellent option for your house.

Powerful Cleaning

The manufacturers have created An airflow of 66 CFM for the Shark apex uplight corded lift away. It has two innovations for high suction: the streamlined channels, which increase airflow speed, and the digital high-spin motor.

The increased flow of air is referred to as Hyper-Velocity suction by the manufacturer. With this feature, the vacuum can clean nearly any surface in your house, including eliminating dirt from various kinds of carpets.

HEPA Filter And Anti-Allergen System

This vacuum provides excellent protection against allergies and other contaminants. It is a completely sealed device, which prevents particles from escaping once the cleaning head has cleaned them up.

The HEPA filtration system and a dust cup that opens downward complete the allergy protection configuration. These precautions will prevent allergens from getting into your house and are safe for people who are sensitive to particles such as dirt and other allergens.

DuoClean Technology

In recent years, this function has become highly popular, and you can find it on many Shark vacuums. A soft roller brush is added to the front of the cleaner head due to this technology. As a result, there are two brushes on the cleaner head.

The extra soft roller brush can pick up bigger dirt more efficiently, and it also performs a fantastic job on bare floors when used in conjunction with the vacuum.

Long Reach And Lift-Away Technology

A removable pod is included with the vacuum. The extended, built-in hose on the lift-away is one of the many features that will amaze you about it.

When completely extended, the hose has a reach of 4 feet 2, allowing you to clean various surfaces such as staircases, vehicle interiors, sofas, and other comparable areas with relative ease.

You may also use the vacuum's wand to increase the reach of the suction, which is very useful for cleaning high areas. The lift-away vacuum cleaner comes with everything you need to vacuum, including a strong suction and a dustbin.

The ability to attach various attachments increases its flexibility, enabling you to clean delicate and difficult-to-reach areas with ease.

Zero-M Technology

We have a few Shark vacuums with Zero-M Technology, and they all perform an excellent job of cleaning the brush roll.

The technology is based on a customized brushroll that prevents hair from wrapping around it too tightly. It also features a comb-like device that combs the hair out of the brushroll and delivers it to the dust canister for disposal.

However, you should note that it may become tangled if your brush roll contains a lot of pet hair.

Dust Canister

The dust container may be easily removed and emptied. It is, however, on the small side, with a capacity of just 0.68 quarts. As a result, a more giant canister would be expected to reduce the frequency of cleaning.

Conclusion

To summarize, we would suggest the Shark apex uplight lift-away duoclean vacuum for a variety of reasons: its strong suction, two brush rolls, lift-way design, and flexible attachments, the vacuum can clean any area of your house.

Except for the relatively tiny dustbin, this new vacuum meets the cleaning needs of most households. Last but not least, it is reasonably priced.

  Reg: POT Stabilizer Rolls
Posted by: Dileep - 04-16-2021, 07:33 AM - Forum: Surface Engineering Threads - No Replies

Dear Friends,

We have a received an order for POT Stabilizer Rolls from one of our customer. The drawing calls for a surface roughness of 1.6-1.8 Ra.

As this roll will be used in a Zin Pot we are supposed to apply a sealant for proper sealing of the porosity. As of now am using DICHTOL HTR0977 Sealant.

The Surface Roughness after coating ( HVOF Process ) is in the range of 4-6 Ra. But once we apply the sealant and cure it the Roughness is coming down to 0.4-0.5 Ra.

Can anyone help me out how to maintain the roughness in the range of 1.6-1.8 Ra.

Also please do let me know whether the sealant what we are using currently is the proper sealant for this application.

Do help me out in this scenario.

Thanks in advance.
