what is replacement of propane gas in HVOF

we have problem to supply Propane gas for HVOF Jet Kote system and if we want to use Butane or others LPG gas, we have low presser and throwout liquid and low melting, please help me for that and what i do that?

If you can get propylene, it will be your best solution. If you cannot get propylene, methane is also an option.

Any gas containing a significant butane content will give you troubles because it has a high vapor pressure (this is why you see liquid fuel coming out of your gun) and because it burns slower than propane and releases less heat.

Take care of using other gases with HVOF, because it work with very high pressure, so you can damage your system, using butane or no pure propane, otherwise to light an HVOF with methane it is necessary to use Hydrogen as lighting gas

Hi, I know the challenge and the problem, its really difficult in some markets to get Propane, and Propylene even more difficult.

H2 would be available, but probably not a great solution for a few reasons including cost.

Using LPG is not really effective as LPG is a commericial mix of gases, and not well regulated usually, and the vapor pressure will vary greatly.

No it will not be possible to change to LF from GF....

I believe you will need to replace the burner/gas head (whatever it's called) thingie where the hoses attach at the bottom of the combustion chamber to switch to Hydrogen. And maybe not. Hydrogen WILL burn, in situations where nothing else will, so that's not the issue. The issue is safety. Consult the gun manual and/or manufacturer of your torch/equipment for guidance.
