thikness of WC/12Co by HVOH

Hi
Which thickness of WC/12Co coating layer can we apply by HVOF (Jet Kote)? Is it possible to apply 2mm?
the same question about CrC.
If we need to reach 2mm coating for shaft, what can we do?

Hi ....
Usually Wc/12Co and CrC coating has a low tickness limit, at list you can spray not more than 0,8 mm (if more you can have to much residual stresses in tha coating), so I reccomend you to use a first layer of a low cost material as NiCr/ iron base, about 1,4 mm, and after the Wc/12Co final coating with 0,8 mm, so you have 0,2 grind overlayer .

Hi, typical coating thichnesses as most of gas fuel HVOF : 200 microns WC-Co and 300 micron CrC .
