least powder amount used in HVOF process

Minimum powder weight possible for HVOF process.

Hello,
Could somebody tell me the least mount (how many grams?) we can use in the HVOF spraying (e.g. JP5000)?
Because we have only a few powders to spray.

Hi Hustzc

Not sure whether you mean minimum spray rate or minimum powder feeder hopper powder charge. Anyway, both will be dependent on the capabilities of your powder feeder.

If you are wanting to spray test small samples of powder (assuming your powder feeder performs ok at this level), then the minimum weight of powder charge would be enough to cover feed rate setting and powder feeder stabilisation + the amount required to deposit required coating.
