insulation coating
We are looking for following coatings:

1) insulation coating for pipeline. Since the pipeline is 15 days' running steam with 350C and 3 months' normal oil transportation with normal temperature, so the insulation coating should be no broken/crack by this temperature change. In addition, the coating is of anti-corrosion and easy to spray as well as economical.

2) anti-wear (super tought, super hard) coating for steel pipe and steel plate. Easy spray on site. no CVD method.

3) anti-H2S coating for pipe, Easy spray on site. no CVD method.

1. Arc spray aluminium base coat. Thermal insulation jacket or coating on top.

2 & 3. Assuming internal coatings. What dimensions? Probably thermal spray coating may not be easy option here. Conformal type coating?

Thanks for your kindness and quick reply.

1) Would you please provide some top-class thermal insulation coating producers? (thinner layer instead of fiberglass or polyuthane jacket).
2) & 3) we heard there is such coating, but don't know what the brand and produce is.

Just a quick note to add to Gordons message about aluminium base coat. It does not necessarily need to be arc sprayed aluminium. A lot of pipelines and vessels are being sprayed by flame spray aluminium in the UK. Some companies prefer the feel of safety that you get with flame spray, e.g. no sparks flying as you get with arc aluminium. Bond strength is usually lower with flame aluminium but it is a widely used application and becoming more-so.

Hi, there is a whole area of applications for TSA, thermally sprayed aluminium coatings on steam and high temperature piping. Corrosion Under Insulation, it is my understanding that NACE now recognizes TSA as giving the best lifetime coating against CUI.

Flame Spray, benefits of using a flame spray gun:

1) Deposition Efficiency is higher than arc spray, so you can do more coating with less wire
2) Deposition Rate, kg per hour can be close to arc spray considering: using large diameter flame spray wire, spray time per manhour greater than arc, simply because of the heat output of arc spray makes it uncomfortable
3) Small components can be coated with focused nozzle, and broad areas with fan nozzle
4) Buy in or start up cost much, much cheaper than arc spray probably buy 4 flame for price of one arc spray
5) Flame spray is highly mobile
6) Bonding, in some cases it can actually be better than arc.

Stephen, it's interesting. Thanks for your comments. BTW, Could you recommend some ceramic insulation coatings which could stand for 350 C. (SPI coating is good, but too expensive to be accepted by customers).
