Slurry Coating
hi all, i am interested in slurry coating on turbine blades. Please recommend me suitable books, supplier, website or any other info related to it.

After apply the slurry coating, the coating is glass bead burnishing to made electrically conductive, so as for maximum corrosion protection. Till now I dont know why conductivity related to corrosion protection Question

RE: Slurry Coating
Diffusion and slurry coating process information can be found in Gas Turbine SPMs. Sermatech have led and developed this field (et al) and some products and data are available. Check out their website, particularly the resource centre and contact them directly. See:

Many OEM specifications require electrical conductivity of the coating surface as a way to ensure that the sacrificial nature of the coating has been developed.

Make sure that all concerned are fully aware of all the process hazards and all health & safety issues are addressed.

Hello karunanidhi,

The processes under discussion here are not actually Thermal Spray.
