Sleeve Coating
Dear SEF members,

We have a part of pomp sleeve.

Working conditions:

Pure Water 140 C
Abrasive materials: Plastic o-rings
The Ceramics coating was applied but efficiency could be obtained.

We are planing to coat CrC/NiCr with HVOF. But do you have Any other suggestions?

Question, what do you mean by efficiency could be obtained?

There are so many factors involved here?
What ceramic coating was applied?
Method Grinding and Ra values before service
Coating thickness
Substrate

We have coated no of Sleeves with Plasma Spray using Chrome Oxide. Fine ground and work very well in pump applications.

ARC Spray ? what about a wire equivelant to Tafa 95 MXC

Hardens under abrasion to around 75Rc ? Used on boiler tubes etc in power stations ?
