Sand Blasting with SiC or Hard Alloy

Hi,

In our company we use vacum and pressured blasting machine. Generally Vacum Blasting with Al2O3 and Pressured Blasting with Chilled Iron. We do not want to use Alumina in a pressure blast machine Because the Alumina very quickly crumbles and dust. But Chilled Iron hardness is not high hardnesses enough to blasting hardened steel.

Is anybody use silicon carbur grit ? Or other hard and strength blasting media As an alternative to Al2O3? . Is there a negative structure on the surface for such different blasting media? (Oxidation, or sinking surface)
