Plazjet II
Hello Dear Colleagues!

Hope you doing well.

Could anyone please provide any information about approximate spray parameters for MCrAlY and YSZ powders for TAFA Plazjet II 7700?

Typical gas mixtures: Ar+H2 and N2+H2
Typical application: TBC (porous and DVC)

Unfortunately, there are nuggets of information about this particular plasma gun in free sources and OEM is unavailable.

Thanks in advance

Hi Artyom,
optimum spraying parameters are always selected for specific powders. Ideally, powder manufacturers provide these settings for most commercial spray guns. If the powder is of unknown origin, then you will have to select the spray parameters yourself, through numerous experiments.

Dear Vadim,

Thank you for your notes! Everything you said is absolutely correct, I just would like to understand approximate gas consumption for this particular plasma gun. Because if a thermal spray system utilizes a couple of guns like conventional F4 and Plazjet, could it be a problem with gas mass flow measurement accuracy: F4 runs at 40 NLPM of argon and 7...10 NLPM of hydrogen (for TBC application) and Plazjet should "eat" hundreds of liters per minute due to its impressive power level.

Unfortunately, equipment supplier is currently unavailable, so I'm trying to find out through the forum.

I will be grateful for any information

Kind regards,
Artyom

Hi Artyom,
In Praxair brochure it says that Plazjet II realizes about 4 times more gas speed than "normal" plasma torches like F4. I assume that between 200 and 300 liters of gas per minute is required for this. This amount of gas is typical for the Axial III burner, which consumes less than 150 KW.

RE: Plazjet II
Given the gas flow requirements, it is essential to ensure that the mass flow rate measurement is accurate and suitable for the Plazjet II gun. If the gas flow rate is not accurately monitored, the performance of the thermal spray system and the quality of the coatings may be affected. As the equipment supplier is not currently available, it may be difficult to obtain accurate gas flow information. However, it is always a good idea to consult with experts in the field or those who have experience with the Plazjet II gun to get more information about gas consumption and related problems.

This is really interesting! After all, I used to play this game often. But everything changed when I read a detailed review of the best mobile games on this online service https://topcasinosreviews.in/best-mobile-casinos/ which I learned about on a gaming forum. It really changed my perception. And now I spend all my free time with this gambling platform.
