Non Loading Nozzles
Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum as well this field also. Have read few things about fundamentals of this process & found it very interesting. Metco E series guns comes with different types of nozzles & Air caps categorized as loading & non loading, I tried a lot to get these concept throughly but dint succeed!!!Sad

Can anybuddy clear this concept what is loading & nonloading nozzles & air caps are? Are these differentiated on basis of wires to be sprayed? It will be pleasure to read expert's explaination here.

Best Regards

RE: Non Loading Nozzles
Hi Ravikumar

Sign0016 to the Surface Engineering Forum.

Non-loading nozzles and air caps were design to get over a problem with low melting point wires sticking in the nozzle during wire feed starting and stopping.

They should only be used for low melting point wires like tin, zinc, aluminium and their alloys and then only if problems with stop/start spraying is a problem.

Non-loading hardware will require lower feed rates and may give reduced efficiency.
