Multilayered TBC (partially and fully stabilized YSZ)
Hello Dear Friends!

Has anybody know anything about multilayered thermal barrier coatings for usage with temperature above 1200°C? First layer - bond coat, second layer - 8YSZ (partially stabilized), third (the last) layer is 20YSZ - fully stabilized. I didn't find any info except this patent http://www.freepatentsonline.com/7291403.html

I'll be grateful for any links for articles, books, journals, whitepaper etc. which describes such coatings. The rare earth zirconates (La2Zr2O7, Ga2Zr2O7), pyrochlores are not interesting - only partially+fully stabilized YSZ.

Kind regards,
Artyom
