Metal spray
Dear All,

I am having steel bearing housing 670mm, it was get worn out from 0.4 to 0.7mm, the standard bore size is max.670.014mm. is it strength ok if do repair with metal spray coating or if any other recommended method, please share!
NB : Bearing number 23076 (380x670x135 mm)

Hi Dedi

Yes possible to use metal spray to repair the bearing housing. I assume you would subcontract this out to a job shop?

Most likely they would use Arc Spray with a NiAl bond coat, and a 13% Chrome Steel 420 SS top layer. The thickness should be no problem at all.

Do you have your own equipment? Do you need a job shop recommendation?
