How to Replace the Boot on a Front Load Frigidaire Washer
A water leak around the door of your front-load washer is a sign of a faulty tub boot. You can replace the boot on your Frigidaire washer with a new boot washer that is available at appliance repair centers. The tub boot seals around the front edge of the door lip and the rear of the front tub lip. There is a rinse hose that connects to the top of the boot. Although replacing the boot does not take much time, you'll need to disassemble the washer to gain access to the entire boot.
Disconnect the Frigidaire washer power cord from the wall outlet. Pull the washer away from the back wall so that the top panel can slide off the rear of the washer. Remove the two securing screws that fasten the top panel to the rear of the washer with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Slide the top panel back and lift it off the washer.
