I'm a little late to help. but,
I spray compressor cases as you describe here.
We also had a max for bond strengh.
We run a very low parameter (about 25Kw) with no secondary flow,( with great results) for the last 15 yrs that I'm aware of.
Anyway, my point is that, for this app., the coating is quite porous.It is also borderline greyish side.NOT the typical "shiny bright aluminum" color that you normally get from 52C. (sprayed with higher "reccomended" param.)
I just wanted to say that all seems normal Christine. Just dont let it get too dark.
And the other fella was spot on as far as the console "needing to see pressure" to avoid a low secondary fault.
(That sounds like someone who has spent actual time in the booth.)
