Help with project

Hello all, I hope you may be able to help me with a project. Im an artist and not got much knowledge of engineering at all.

What i want to do is, have a sound playing automatically, (a scream maybe) when a balloon bursts...

Is it possible to use a switch kit like this ..?

If so, can i hook it up to a an amp or something to play the sound?

basically can you do this instead of turning on a light?!
