Is any body know what is the max Bond strength of Hard Crome Plating? And what is the max hardnesses in optimum thickness.

I would think 6000 psi at 50-100 microns and 60 HRC tops

There a lot of variants to this question:

What is the base material?
What kind of part is it (pump casing, impeller, die, etc.)?
What do you want out of the performance?

Reason I am asking is I own a machine shop in the U.S. called Axis Machine in Baltimore MD. We do chrome plating, nickel plating, thermal sprays, etc. Give me an idea of what the part is and what you're trying to acheive. I will do my best to help.

I have surveyed the hard chrome plating bonding strength.
The actual data are very few, so the result is here and there in papers.
The bonding strength is also varied on plating thickness.

12um- 125000psi(862MPa)
100um- 10000psi(69MPa)
200um- 4000~6000psi(27~41MPa)
200~400um- 4500~10000psi(31~69MPa)
