HVOF Metco 52CNS

Hi all,

Have just been presented with a honeywell repair spec which states to HVOF spray Metco 52CNS, Ive got a JP5000. Has anyone got any experiance of spraying this type of material with HVOF? I cant find any info or starting parameters on this one, does anyone have any advice on how best to tackle this?

Metco 52CNS (aluminium/silicon alloy) originally aimed at flame and plasma spraying. No experience with this and JP I'm afraid. Can only suggest finding recommended parameters for a similar material (not sure if there is an aluminium basesd powder aimed at the JP5000) and using that as a starting point parameters.

thanks for the reply Gordon, confirming what I expected. I think this is going to be one of those jobs that are sent to test you. Ill keep posting on this one, should make interesting reading at least.
