HVAF and T800

Does anyone have any experience of spraying T800 through an HVAF set up?

We have a quite a few threads on spraying T800, but none with HVAF.

I think djewell and a few other members may be able to help. But it may be helpful to know whether your interested in HVAF as a possible alternative to plasma or HVOF or whether you are having problems spraying T800?

I settled up T800 spray parameters for turbine engine components application, both, with Plasma and HVOF (only hydrogen Oxigen), and it was very hard to set the correct parameters in order to have the test approved, so I think that with HVAF you can't have a good result, because with HVOF and hydrogen there was a lot of oxides in the coating.

Thanks guys, we have been running T800 through a JP5000 (kerosene) with some fairly mixed results. Quite a bit of porosity visible after a proof grinding operation. It seems to be a bit of a tempremental coating at best, and if the parameters aren't exactly right, it sometimes doesn't even want to stick to the substrate. This having been said, I've just read a paper by Choo, Zhang et al which is quite interesting. Back to the drawing board!

Also it depends on if you are going for particularly difficult GE Specification, some of which are nearly impossible to achieve .....

We have sprayed T-800 very successfully with HVAF. It has been several years since we did it, but we got some good coatings. Contact me off-line if you would like to discuss further. What is your application?
