Lightbulb  Electrical conductivity properties of WC Co
Hi every one,

We want to make high wear resistance and tolerable low electrical conductivity surface characteristic.

Does anyone have information about the electrical properties of WC-alloys? (WC-Co, WC-CoCr, WC-Ni...ect.)

Besides, If we make a comparison between WC alloys to TiC alloys, which one do you think we must choose? (low electric conductivity).

I would be happy if the type of proposal other than oxide ceramics tiles.

Thank you very much for your answers. Good day everyone.

RE: Electrical conductivity properties of WC Co
Hi Metallurgy_eng

Depends what a "tolerable low electrical conductivity surface characteristic" actual is. If you are after an insulator with high wear resistance, I think you will need to consider oxide ceramic coatings. Cermet coatings, though probably being more resistive than metal coatings will still tend to be quite conductive.
