Discussion on SEF Articles
Please use this thread to discuss and make comment on:
Quote:Dear SEF Members

I am thinking of making an area on SEF for a guide to surface engineering containing/linking papers and articles. I like the idea of making this a SEF member community project.

My initial idea was to have a page like Surface Engineering in a Nutshell with links radiating out to articles and papers submitted by the SEF membership.
or post a new thread.

Hi Gordon
I feel it would be useful to also inform about European TS-Standardisation (even though full of funny crap.
Also about education and qualification in EU concerning TS.

RE: Discussion on SEF Articles
We may share some articles contain both scientific and industrial, then. For example, I promised "Florin" to give some information about "Self - Healing Thermal Barrier Coatings" as soon as I find useful information in the thread with the same name. I'll be pleased to share knowledge, even I'm a student. Smile Knowledge grows while being shared, isn't it?

HVCC - High Velocity Continuous Combustion?

Confusing term Rolleyes as it seems to be a high velocity arc spray process without combustion Happy0193

RE: Discussion on SEF Articles
Hi Guys,

I think a place online to upload and share articles and resources would be great. It would probably require some security to ensure its not abused though. I know I have lots of stuff floating round my PC which could be a good recource for others.

Hi J_rock

Thanks for your suggestion, which I like Big Grin Just need to think how best to organise this. My first thought is to make an additional forum section titled say "Member Resources and Articles" and restrict access to members that wish to participate.

Hi Gordon, organization of the information will be important.

I am particularly keen on Resources, there is so much good information on this site, but who can compile it?

Hi Gordon

HVCC link

Who actually manufacturers and sells this equipment?  Is it different than high velocity arc spray?  What are the gas velocities and particle velocities
