RE: Coating on Boiler tube in Coal Fired Power Plan by using Tafa wire 97MXC
Hello All:
I would like to broaden the discussion to cover the selection of alloys and processes for the protection of coal fired boilers:
Since this has been done for many years in USA, Europe and China, it seems like this should not be Intellectual property, but rather open source information. Can any one openly provide information on the selection of coating material, process and technique for coal fired boilers.
I have seen the following offered:
Ceramic Compound
Self Fluxing Alloys
45CT
TAFA 95 MXC, Tafa 97 MXC and equivalents
CrC NiCr
WC
Ceramics
I understand HVOF, HVAF, Arc, Sprayfuse, Laser, GTAW are among the processes, as well as PTA, and GMAW
Also under considerati0on is the environmental aspects, economic aspects:
a) operating temperature, pressure
b) Boiler type, materials, country of origin, design, age
c) Coal Composition
d) Operating cycle
etc. Is there an open source of information on the path to solutions?
Of course after this incenderators, MFB .....
