Mirror carp (Cyprinus carpio)

Caught: Badshotlea Big Pond, Surrey, UK. (Farnham Angling Society water).

Weight just over 20 lb.

Quite proud of this capture as it was caught using light float fishing tackle with two maggots as bait and I believe it was the only carp caught from the pond that day. A miracle that I landed it at all in a snag laden swim. I think the fish may have not realised it was hooked because of the light handling. Skill or pure luck! I like to think a bit of both.
