Emperor Dragonfly female laying eggs, while being harassed by a common blue damselfly. Caesar's Camp gravel pit, Farnham, Surrey, UK, 12 June 2021.
The Emperor Dragonfly and larvae are top predators, so are a big threat to damselflies and larvae. Damselflies will actively chase the huge Emperor so that she can't lay her eggs in the same area as theirs.
