Problem spraying Metco 45 Re: Cluster oxide in Inco718

I had the same problem when I was spraying Metco 45 chemical is same as yours. We used 9MB Ar/H2 gas. the Oxide cluster is identical to Gordon posted pictures. Alex and Ben, did you use the front cooling jets? Maybe reduce the pressure of the front jet will make it better. If the turbulent theory correct, (a speicalist from PW told me the same thing and I do agree with it)why increasing dwell time work? If reduce velocity, You get higher porosity which is impt to this coat. You got the optimize it. I am also very interested to learn it if someone make it work.
Gordon, to your experience, does it happen to all hard-to-melt coating?
