Hello, group i'm a materials engineer starting to work in a project concerning
the development of coating, PVD hard coatings, to be used in the injection
moulding industry. My major concerns are coatings with very low coeficcient of
friction to improve the release of the plastic from the mould, and i would like
to know the most used coatings in the plastic industry.
i think that the TiN(x) and CrN(x) are the most common types vbut if anyone
knows another type of coating system (multilayered or nanostructured) with the
same carachteristics and with lower friction coeficient (more or less the same
as composite DLC coatings)?
best regards
