Hi,
Wear and corrosion are environment specific degradation of
materials. You need to specify the environment or to test the coated
samples of the probables in the given atmosphere. Our teacher Late
Dr.L.L.Shrier(editor of corrosion handbooks)used to tell us
that most suitable automobile body materials for London are tested
in winter smog where as for Detroit in winter salted mud.
Most of the applications you have mentioned can be taken care of Zn
and/or Al-coatings plus an inert polymeric coat.
You can refer to my book on 'Surface Wear-Analysis,Treatment,
and Prevention'ASM-International,Materials Park, OH,2001 and
for coating process , me second book 'Advanced Thermally
Assisted Surface Engineering Processes'Kluwer Academic
Publishings,MA,2004.
You can also contact Dr.Sam
Nistala,ACTIS(UK)Ltd,Nottinghamshire,tel:44-1632-511542(Works),44-1632-552540(R)refering
my name if you want to get the job done.
