Need to know if it is possible to spray ceramic on HT steel that reaches a temperature of 1500 degrees F that will wear and keep physical contact of a belt from rubbing chrome from it.
Yes. It is possible to spray ceramic by plasma or HVOF torch on prepared surface of HT steel and coating would not spall if there is no point or impact loading or bending.Coating wear would depend on the wear environment/coat quality /material.
