800 degF is near to the temperature limit of WC. Against combined attack of high temperature and erosive wear I suggest Cr3C2/NiCr 75/25 (+20/-45 ┬Ám) sprayed with a 3. generation HVOF burner (chamber pressure 7 bar+). This material is corrosion resistant up to 1470 degF and provides values of microhardness up to 1000 HV0.3.
