: Hi,

: I sprayed the Al2O3+13TiO2 at HV hardness 750 to 850 most of time, few cases up to HV920, by plasma coating. But measure the sample from Germany it average HV1000, how they get that level? if they use different method or by other equipment?

: By investigating, most of info. are HV850.

: Thanks.

Hi Jian

It is possible to get these coatings around 1000 HV by careful maniplulation of spraying parameters and choice of powder. Basically, you need powder finer than 25 microns, spraying parameters set to provide a balance between maximum velocity and adaquate particle melting.
