: I am working in a automotive stamping plant as a die maker, and my question is:
: Would you recommend any of the above coating methods for surface repair in draw die environment, considering only the areas accidentally damaged on chromed surfaces?
Hi Matt
Some HVOF coatings are considered as good or superior alternatives to hard chrome electroplated coatings in many applications. I doubt whether it would be suitable for localised patch repair if you want to blend the new coating into the old coating.
