Suppliers of diamond like coating services?
I reviewed the details on diamond like coatings at http://www.azom.com/details.asp?ArticleID=623 however I do not find a ready list of vendors to contact to either coat or completely service the valve. I have a small Inconel 718 valve with a very small 0.06" orifice that is erroding.
Leads to companies in TX or elsewhere in the USA would be appreciated. |

RE: Suppliers of diamond like coating services?
Hi,
I remember a company called sp3 coatings, amongst other doing DLC coating in USA.Since you are in US,you can also contact Materials Science Division of PenState Univ, who have done lot of work in these area and have number of patents. As guest speaker at Int.Diamond Tools Conference held In India in 2005, I dealt with this subject in details and also listed the companies across the globe doing this job.Belzar in UK doing DLC-W coating on the plunger in the diesel fuel injection system.Multi-arc in USA should also be doing DLC coating. If you do not want to alter the properties of base material then you should go for low temperature PVD process of deposition, like EBPVD. I hope you would be able to find a supplier.Texas being my second home, please do not hesitate to contact me in case you have still problem. ram chattopadhyay |
